Product Detail

This range of explosion proof electric actuator is avaivle from 100Nm to 2300Nm, which are generally good for DN80~DN600 butterfly and ball valves. The actuator range can also be applied to dampler control or other 90 degrees stroke control situation.

Available explsion certificate including ATEX / CSA / 3C.


Design Principles

Enclosure Construction

Classification and Certification Standards

Hazardous Area Classifications

Explosion proof electric actuators are categorized based on the type of hazardous environment they're designed for:

  1. Class I: For flammable gases, vapors, or liquids (e.g., petroleum refining)

  2. Class II: For combustible dust (e.g., grain processing facilities)

  3. Class III: For ignitable fibers (e.g., textile manufacturing)

Within these classes, divisions further specify the likelihood of hazardous material presence:

  • Division 1: Hazardous materials present during normal operations

  • Division 2: Hazardous materials present only during abnormal conditions

- Safety Features: F insulation class and a temperature control switch at the motor winding protect the motor from overheating, while overload protection automatically cuts power in case of valve jamming, preventing damage to both the valve and the actuator.


- Voltage Protection: The explosion proof electric actuators are designed to withstand high and low voltage conditions, ensuring reliable operation and longevity.


- Corrosion Resistance: An epoxy resin enclosure meets NEMA 4X standards, with the option for customer-specific painting for additional corrosion protection.


- Ingress Protection: With an optional IP68 rating, the explosion proof electric actuators can be used in wet environments, being impermeable for up to 72 hours at a depth of 7 meters.


- Fireproofing: High-temperature fire-proof covers are available for special use, enhancing the explosion proof electric actuator's resilience in extreme conditions.
